Old Testament Survey – Thursdays, March 26th through May 21st (Janine Bear)

This class will use the history of the formation and progression of Israel as its primary source of information. The story of the Old Testament is the story of Israel – their quest for a promised land, then their loss of that land. This course will cover each time period and the books that were authored during that time period. We’ll look at each of the prophetic books and put it in the context of its original audience. By the end of the course, the student will have memorized the books of our Old Testament, be able to draw a chart of Israel’s history as told in the Old Testament, and know where each of the prophetic books fall in the history. They will have a wonderful framework for understanding the Old Testament as a history, instead of as a group of random incidents.

Class meets for 9 consecutive Thursday nights from 6:30pm until 7:50pm beginning March 26th at Janine Bear's home in Champlin (click for map).

Spring Quarter Registration — 3 Comments

    • Hi Maggie,

Many inductive study courses will require 2-3 hours per week in homework time. Sometimes it is more, sometimes it can be less. Inductive class homework can be a profoundly intimate time in the Word.

Let us know if you would like any additional information.

      Blessings,
      Equipped For Life

  1. Students can expect about three hours per week for homework in the Ephesians class. I will add, speaking from personal experience, that the homework is often the most powerful part of an inductive class. If you are ready to go deeper into the Word, you’re going to love it! 🙂
